Understanding the KASU admission list update

The release report concerns provisional undergraduate admission. However, the decisive information for you is the institution, course and status inside your own account. A screenshot belonging to another candidate does not confirm your result.

The KASU website provides separate undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma services. Consequently, use the undergraduate route if you applied through UTME or Direct Entry. A postgraduate application window or diploma announcement does not establish an undergraduate offer.

Also distinguish the admission list from the screening application. KASU published a 2026/2027 screening-portal reopening notice in July. Completing that exercise allowed the university to assess an application; it did not guarantee admission. By October, applicants should check their actual status rather than assume that a screening receipt is an offer.

How to check the KASU admission list on CAPS

Start with the official JAMB eFacility portal. Use the JAMB account connected to your application, not a relative’s or another applicant’s profile.

Sign in with your own JAMB login details.
Select Check Admission Status and confirm the examination year where the page requests it.
Check your registration number and open Access my CAPS.
Choose Admission Status.
Read the university name, programme and status together.
If KASU offers admission, follow the current JAMB acceptance instructions and verify that your response reflects.

Write down the exact status if you need help later. For example, “Not Admitted” is more useful to support staff than “the portal is not working.” Likewise, save a dated copy of a confirmed offer so you can compare it with the school record.

Checking KASU’s school services

Use the official KASU admissions page to reach the application and student services. The university links its SAFApply application platform from its website, which helps applicants identify the authorised route.

Sign in to the account used for your screening application.
Confirm the session and application details before interpreting any status.
Read available admission or document-verification instructions in your account.
Compare the offered programme with CAPS and save the relevant school documents.
If the two records differ, ask the admissions office for clarification before completing an unrelated registration process.

The public registration page describes accepting the JAMB offer, uploading documents, paying the acceptance fee and downloading the school offer. It then lists school fees and course registration. However, the linked detailed guide carries an older session label. Therefore, confirm the current deadline, amount and document checklist in your account before using it for 2026/2027.

The public flow describes online screening and registration. Follow any newer candidate-specific direction if KASU changes the process. Do not travel for an assumed clearance appointment that the current instructions have not required.

KASU admission list batches and merit offers

A first or merit batch is a stage in an institution’s admissions exercise. It does not prove that everyone who met a general score threshold has an offer. Course requirements, screening records and available places still matter.

The October release report does not confirm dates for a second or third batch. Therefore, treat an additional-batch claim as unconfirmed until a current KASU notice or your account supports it. An older 2023/2024 list cannot establish the sequence for 2026/2027.

If KASU publishes a PDF, inspect its session and programme heading before searching for your name. Then use your registration number to distinguish candidates with similar names. A screenshot with the heading cut off provides too little context for a reliable decision.

If KASU admission has not reflected

First, check the session and account. Next, confirm that you completed the screening application and that your details match the original acknowledgement. A payment receipt alone may not establish a completed submission.

For the JAMB record, check the O’level results shown on CAPS. Also review Transfer Approval if the university proposes a different course. If you want the proposed programme, follow the stated response procedure. However, responding to a transfer proposal does not itself create a final admission offer.

Direct Entry candidates should check the qualification-verification requirements that apply to their route. Do not use a UTME score explanation to diagnose a Direct Entry application. Likewise, ask KASU about a document query instead of assuming that every pending result has the same cause.

If a school offer appears while CAPS remains pending, keep both records and contact the proper support channel. JAMB’s guidance identifies missing result uploads, institutional recommendation and unaccepted transfers as checks that can matter. It does not describe CAPS as random or assign a fixed probability to an unfinished status.

After a KASU admission offer

Accept the offer you intend to take through the current JAMB process. If the process requires biometric confirmation, use an accredited JAMB centre. Afterwards, verify the updated record and obtain the admission documents required for registration.

Next, read KASU’s document-upload checklist. Prepare clear copies of your academic records, application documents and identification as requested. Check names and dates across the documents before submission. A correction is easier to resolve when you can show the exact mismatch.

Use the invoice or payment instruction issued through the authorised school service. This review did not establish a current acceptance-fee amount for every candidate. Therefore, do not transfer an amount from an old guide to a personal bank account.

Complete school-fee payment and course registration in the order the university directs. Then check any kit-collection, accommodation and resumption instructions that apply to your programme. Keep receipts and completed forms together; acceptance alone does not complete registration.
