UNN Admission List 2026/2027: Primary, Supplementary and CAPS

For the UNN admission list for 2026/2027, check your personal JAMB CAPS record and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka’s official announcements. The current undergraduate notices reviewed concern screening and O’Level result validation. The verified primary and supplementary list pages still name 2025/2026, so they must not be presented as new-session lists.

No current official notice confirming separate first, second or third undergraduate batches was established in this review. This guide explains the genuine PDF routes, the result-upload requirement and what to do once your own offer is confirmed.

Where to find the UNN admission list and PDFs

Start from the official University of Nigeria website and open the admission announcement for your session. The university publishes list pages with download links and candidate instructions. Its official site also supplies the UNN portal route; follow that university-endorsed link for account tasks.

UNN uses specific list descriptions, including primary UTME, primary Direct Entry, supplementary and additional supplementary lists. Advert or shopping lists concern a separate selection route. A document for foreign candidates or candidates with disabilities also needs its own session and category check. Do not combine those descriptions into an unsupported “all batches” release claim.

  1. Open the university announcement rather than a forwarded document alone.
  2. Check its academic session, entry route and list description.
  3. Use the download link supplied by that announcement.
  4. Search the PDF for your JAMB registration number or name.
  5. Confirm the name, registration number and programme together.
  6. Read the instructions accompanying the list and check your own CAPS record.

The verified primary list page names 2025/2026. The supplementary page for the same session links additional supplementary list III, additional primary Direct Entry and supplementary list IV. Those labels do not prove that equivalent 2026/2027 lists have been published.

Older 2021/2022 PDFs may still circulate under titles such as supplementary II, supplementary III or Direct Entry supplementary. They are historical records, not evidence of a current offer. A PDF showing your name is useful only when the registration number, course and admission exercise match your application.

How to check the UNN admission list on JAMB CAPS

Open the official JAMB e-Facility service and select candidate login. Sign in with the registered email address and password for your own JAMB profile. Keep your registration slip nearby to check the examination year and number.

  1. Open the admission-status or CAPS service available on the dashboard.
  2. Choose the applicable examination year and provide your registration number where requested.
  3. Read the response and confirm the University of Nigeria and the programme.
  4. Review an offer or transfer message before deciding how to respond.
  5. Follow the current authorised acceptance or rejection procedure for an actual offer.
  6. Keep the recorded outcome and obtain the admission documents required for registration.

JAMB states that available services can differ by profile and cycle. Use the controls actually shown in your account. Our JAMB login guide explains the general access route.

If the mobile layout hides a menu, try desktop-site view or another suitable device. A loading error does not establish rejection. If a university list and CAPS disagree, retain the two records and ask the admissions office to clarify the outstanding stage. Our school admission-status guide covers broader checking problems.

UNN’s 2026/2027 O’Level upload and validation notice

A later university notice required affected applicants to upload results to JAMB and validate them on the UNN admission portal by midnight on September 30, 2026. It specifically addressed candidates replacing WAEC with NECO, combining the two results, or updating an earlier awaiting-result declaration.

That notice also named September 30 as the Post-UTME registration closure. The deadline has passed; do not describe the exercise as open on the basis of that notice. If your record still has an outstanding issue, ask the admissions office what correction process, if any, is available now.

The later instruction matters because the initial screening advert gave an earlier August deadline. Do not assume that uploading to JAMB automatically validates the result on the university portal. Check evidence of both stages where the instructions require them.

First, second, third and merit batch questions

A personal offer appearing early does not independently establish a first list. An offer appearing later does not prove a second or third list. Use the university’s exact announcement and list description instead of assigning a batch from the day your account changes.

A merit or primary description concerns selection for a particular exercise. It is not a guarantee that every applicant above a general threshold will be selected for a preferred programme. Screening, subject requirements, qualifications and available places can still matter.

No verified release date for a current later undergraduate list is supplied here. Monitor the appropriate university notices and your personal record, while keeping realistic alternative plans. A postgraduate, JUPEB, sandwich or music-diploma notice is a different admission route.

Pending status and a missing UNN offer

Admission in Progress or Not Admitted

“Admission in Progress” is pending, not a guaranteed offer or a reliable 90% probability. “Not Admitted” means no offer is currently displayed in the record being checked. Neither message identifies every cause, and neither promises automatic approval within a month.

Check your application and results

Confirm that you completed the correct screening route and met the programme requirements. UNN’s 2026/2027 screening advert invited first-choice UTME candidates scoring at least 160 and required applicants to be 16 by September 30, 2026. Meeting the application threshold alone does not guarantee admission.

Review the subject combination, qualification records and name consistency. Direct Entry applicants also needed the verification required for their submitted qualification. For related preparation, see our existing UNN screening guide and UNN cut-off-mark guide, confirming their session labels against current university notices.

Investigate recommendations and course changes

JAMB’s shortlist support guidance identifies missing results, the school’s recommendation and unaccepted transfers as checks when a school selection has not appeared on CAPS. UNN’s previous supplementary notice also required candidates recommended for different courses to regularise the course details through the authorised process.

Read the actual proposed programme before deciding. A pending response alone does not prove that a quota is full, your score is too low or catchment rules caused the outcome. Keep application and payment references so the relevant office can investigate a specific issue.

After UNN admission: acceptance and clearance

Confirm the offer and use the correct invoice

Complete the required JAMB response and obtain the admission documents requested by UNN. The verified 2025/2026 primary notice described generating a university payment invoice with a Remita reference, then validating payment to print the school admission slip and complete the online acceptance form.

The official notices reviewed show different historical acceptance figures: the 2025/2026 primary page states ₦30,000, while the supplementary page states ₦50,000. These figures do not establish a 2026/2027 charge. Use the current notice and invoice assigned to your own offer before paying.

Keep the invoice, transaction confirmation and acknowledged university receipt. Acceptance payment, school fees and accommodation are distinct charges. A bank debit alone does not prove that the university has credited your student record.

Prepare documents and complete registration

Follow the current clearance checklist, venue and deadline. Have your academic results, admission records, identity documents and relevant receipts ready. Resolve inconsistent names or courses through the appropriate university or JAMB channel before presenting conflicting records.

Admission remains provisional and depends on satisfying the university and programme’s requirements. After clearance, follow the school-charge and course-registration sequence supplied for your programme and student category. Keep evidence of each completed stage.

Accommodation and resumption

Apply through the current hostel-allocation process if needed; admission does not guarantee a bed space. Check the fresh-student resumption notice before travelling. Our UNN resumption guide is a related resource, but the university’s current session-specific notice should determine your travel plans.

Frequently asked questions

Is the UNN admission list out for 2026/2027?

A current numbered undergraduate list was not verified in the official pages reviewed. The verified primary and supplementary pages name 2025/2026. Check your own CAPS record and current university announcements.

Are primary UTME and Direct Entry lists interchangeable?

No. Confirm the entry route and session of the document that applies to your application. An offer on another route’s list does not establish your own record.

Can an old supplementary PDF confirm my current admission?

No. The session, registration number and programme must match. A 2021/2022 document remains historical even if someone forwards it again.

Did uploading to JAMB complete the UNN result requirement?

The later current-session notice required JAMB upload and UNN portal validation. Check the required stages separately and ask admissions about any unresolved issue after the deadline.

Which acceptance amount should I pay?

Use the current instruction and invoice for your own offer. The differing amounts in previous-session primary and supplementary notices should not be treated as a confirmed 2026/2027 bill.

Does a pending CAPS status guarantee admission?

No. Check genuine requirements and messages, but do not rely on a percentage chance or an automatic one-month approval rule.

Conclusion

Check the UNN admission list using the correct official document and your own CAPS record. Confirm result validation, programme details and the current acceptance bill before proceeding to clearance and registration. Browse our Admission Lists archive for related guides.
