Witspot is an independent education publication that helps students and parents understand admissions, school requirements and education opportunities. It is published by Masnet and focuses primarily on the Nigerian education system.
An applicant often needs a clear answer to a specific question: Is the form out? What score is required? Where can I check my admission status? Our aim is to answer that question first, explain the details that affect the decision, and point the reader towards the right next step.
What Witspot covers
Our coverage includes Nigerian universities, polytechnics and colleges of education; JAMB and CAPS; Post-UTME and screening; admission lists; courses and entry requirements; school fees; and scholarships. Where a topic involves another country, its requirements are checked against the relevant institution or official body.
How we approach education information
Our editorial standard is to use official institutional notices, admission portals, JAMB and relevant regulators for current requirements. We distinguish announced information from previous-session details and estimates. A departmental cut-off mark, application deadline or fee should never be treated as confirmed simply because it appears on another blog.
We also explain what a requirement means in practice. Meeting a general cut-off mark, for example, does not automatically guarantee an admission offer. The useful question is what other conditions the institution requires and what the applicant should do next.
An independent publication
Witspot is not JAMB, an admissions office or an official representative of the schools mentioned on the site. We do not grant admission, issue institutional forms or guarantee scholarship awards. Applications and payments should go through the institution’s official channels.
