FUNAI Admission List 2026/2027: What Is Confirmed?

AE-FUNAI has published screening and supplementary-admission notices for the session. Its supplementary announcement addresses applicants without an offer. This confirms an admissions exercise, but the notice does not name everyone admitted or establish that all batches are complete.

Check your personal record rather than relying exclusively on a forwarded headline. This update does not confirm separate first, second and third batch release dates. An older session’s “not out” statement should not determine the result for your current application.

An admission list identifies candidates receiving provisional places. The university can communicate an offer through an individual account as well as an announcement. Therefore, a public PDF is not the only evidence applicants should check.

How to Check the FUNAI Admission List on JAMB CAPS

Use the JAMB account linked to your UTME or Direct Entry application. Keep your correct registration number, registered email address and account password ready. CAPS means Central Admissions Processing System.

  1. Open the official JAMB e-Facility portal and sign in to your own account.
  2. Find the admission-status service on the dashboard.
  3. Select your examination year and enter your registration number where requested.
  4. Open CAPS and review Admission Status.
  5. Read the institution, programme and decision shown.
  6. If an offer appears, use JAMB’s current instructions to respond.

Our JAMB portal login guide explains the account route. If a phone does not show the controls clearly, try desktop view or a computer. A page-display problem does not establish rejection.

Also confirm the application year. An accessible older record cannot establish a current decision. Review any proposed course transfer separately, because a transfer proposal and an admission offer require different decisions.

Using the AE-FUNAI University Admission-Status Portal

The university’s Admissions menu links to the AE-FUNAI admission-status portal. Its current login page requests a username and password. Use the credentials the university provides for that service, rather than assuming that a JAMB number alone completes the login.

The page explains that its temporary-password users will need to change that password after signing in. Follow the instructions associated with your own account. If you lack the required credentials, seek help through the university’s official channels.

Once you can access your record, check the session, programme and actual admission decision. Then compare it with CAPS. Our school admission-status guide explains why an application acknowledgement and a confirmed offer are different records.

The application, admission-status and student-registration services serve different purposes. A supplementary registration acknowledgement does not replace an admission letter. Likewise, a login error should be investigated as an access issue before drawing conclusions about admission.

FUNAI Screening Requirements Worth Reviewing

The extended 2026/2027 screening notice set 14 August 2026 as the registration deadline. It also required O’Level and Direct Entry results on CAPS by that date. These dates have passed, so they are not a fresh invitation to register.

The notice used 150 as the general UTME screening minimum, with higher programme-specific scores. For example, its minimums included 180 for Computer Science, 230 for Law, 240 for Nursing Science and 250 for Medicine and Surgery.

First-choice selection and the relevant subject requirements also mattered. The notice required one O’Level sitting for Medicine and Surgery, Law, Nursing Science and Medical Laboratory Science. It described internal screening of candidates’ results.

These are eligibility conditions, rather than guaranteed admission scores. Review the existing FUNAI cut-off-mark guide for background, while confirming the session and the university’s requirement for your intended programme.

FUNAI Supplementary Admission and the Deadline Conflict

The university’s supplementary notice covers applicants without an offer who meet the advertised programme requirements. It specifies a minimum UTME score of 150, relevant UTME and O’Level subjects, and a matching change of course on JAMB CAPS.

The notice names a ₦5,000 application charge and a 25 September 2026 deadline, with no extension. However, the live application landing page currently displays an October deadline for 2026/2027 Supplementary UTME Admission. These official sources do not give the same closing date.

Confirm the current deadline with AE-FUNAI before paying or submitting. Access the supplementary application through the university’s Apply Now service at apply.funai.edu.ng. Choose the correct exercise; the portal also lists WASP admission as a separate route.

Use the advertised programme list and your qualifications when considering an alternative. Do not assume that every degree programme has supplementary vacancies. Also remember that applying, paying and changing course do not themselves create an offer.

If you already have an application, use the existing-account login to manage it. The current registration page separately asks for a JAMB registration number to verify a new applicant’s profile. Resolve access to your existing record through the university’s support channels before starting another application.

FUNAI Merit, First, Second and Third Admission Batches

A first batch identifies an order of release, while merit describes a selection category. The terms can overlap, but they are not automatically interchangeable. Use the exact designation in the university’s relevant announcement.

A supplementary application exercise is also different from a supplementary admission list. The former invites eligible applicants to seek consideration; the latter communicates resulting offers. Do not treat an open application route as a list of successful candidates.

Applicants may receive decisions at different times during an active exercise. Nevertheless, a first-batch claim does not confirm a second or third release, and a delayed result does not guarantee a later offer. Check the session attached to each announcement.

Understanding Your FUNAI Admission Status

Admitted

Your record shows an offer for the institution and programme displayed. Read the course before deciding, especially if it differs from your original choice. Provisional admission still requires the applicable checks and registration steps.

Admission in Progress

Your admission is still being processed. This can be encouraging, but it is not a final offer or a reliable numerical probability. Review outstanding requirements and wait for a definite decision.

Not Admitted

The record currently shows no offer. During an active exercise, that message alone does not establish every later outcome. Equally, it does not promise that the result will change.

Review the account, examination year, uploaded results and any proposed course transfer. A university application and a JAMB recommendation need to correspond to the correct candidate and programme.

Why Your Name May Be Missing from the FUNAI Admission List

Start with your own application details. A missing offer can reflect ongoing assessment, incomplete records, an eligibility issue or an unsuccessful application.

  • Confirm the correct session and entry route.
  • Review whether your application and required screening records are complete.
  • Check that the relevant results are on CAPS.
  • Compare your subject combination and qualifications with the programme requirements.
  • Review any proposed course transfer and its required response.

Programme competition and available places can affect selection. However, a low score, a filled quota or catchment considerations should not be described as the confirmed cause of your individual result without evidence. CAPS does not award admission randomly.

If the records disagree, describe the specific mismatch when seeking help. Note the institution, course, session or status involved. Repeated refreshing cannot complete a missing upload or correct a mismatched application.

How to Accept or Reject a FUNAI Offer

Check the institution and programme before making a decision. Then use the acceptance or rejection method JAMB currently provides for your record. Confirm the recorded outcome and retain the acknowledgement.

Read any proposed transfer before responding to it. Also avoid selecting rejection merely to test a control, because it records a decision about your offer. University acceptance payment and JAMB acceptance have different purposes.

A supplementary application payment is another separate charge. It does not replace an acceptance response or establish that the university has selected you. Follow the conditions attached to an actual offer.

What to Do After FUNAI Admission

After accepting the correct offer, use the university’s current new-student instructions. Check the order of clearance, payments and registration for your session.

  1. Obtain the relevant JAMB and university admission documents when available.
  2. Read the acceptance conditions and any confirmed deadline.
  3. Prepare the academic results and supporting records requested for your entry route.
  4. Generate authorised invoices and keep payment receipts.
  5. Complete verification, clearance and student registration as instructed.
  6. Register your courses when eligible and seek departmental guidance.
  7. Check accommodation allocation and current resumption arrangements separately.

The university’s website identifies a New Students service. Follow the instructions supplied for your record rather than reusing an old application-payment route for school fees. Confirm the amount and purpose of each current charge.

Admission does not automatically allocate a hostel space. Check availability and allocation before assuming that a payment secures accommodation. Also review the existing FUNAI resumption guide alongside the university’s latest notice before travelling.

FUNAI Admission List FAQs

Do I Need a Public PDF Before Responding to an Offer?

No. Review the offer in your own account and follow its instructions. A forwarded PDF should not replace your personal admission record.

Does Supplementary Registration Mean I Am Admitted?

No. It is an application for consideration. An offer is a later, separate decision with its own conditions.

Can Direct Entry Applicants Check CAPS?

Yes. Use the JAMB account and registration details linked to your Direct Entry application. Your advanced qualifications must also meet the relevant requirements.

Does a Portal Error Mean My Application Failed?

No. An access error does not establish an admission decision. Verify your account details and seek the appropriate account support.

Conclusion

Check the FUNAI admission list through your own CAPS account and the university’s admission-status service. Review the session and programme, resolve incomplete records, and act on a definite offer.

Our admission-list guides provide related checking information. Confirm the current supplementary deadline directly with the university, then follow the registration conditions attached to any admission you receive.
