Last updated: 9 October 2026. EKSU means Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti. The steps below separate an application record, a school admission result and a JAMB offer.
Latest EKSU admission list information
EKSU’s official website has a notice for the 2026/2027 UTME and Direct Entry admission exercise. Its official admission checker also includes 2026/2027 among the available application years.
However, a year listed in a dropdown is not proof that every applicant has an offer. During this update, we did not verify a separate official announcement naming a first, second or final 2026/2027 admission batch.
Therefore, check your personal result on the school service and CAPS. A release date must come from a university notice for the relevant session. An undated claim or a date from an older intake cannot establish the current release.
Also, distinguish screening registration from admission. Filling an application form or receiving an acknowledgment slip confirms an application stage. It does not reserve a place or replace a final offer in your record.
How to check the EKSU admission list on the school portal
Open the official EKSU admission checker. Read the form’s notice before choosing the year or entering application details.
- Select the admission year that matches your application, such as 2026/2027.
- Choose the relevant application option if the form asks for it.
- Enter the registration details requested for that application route.
- Check the information against your acknowledgment or JAMB slip.
- Submit the admission check and read the returned candidate and programme details.
- Save the result and confirm any offer through JAMB CAPS.
The checker asks you to select the application year before the application option. Follow that order. Otherwise, you may see an empty or incomplete selection and mistake a form issue for an admission decision.
We could verify the indexed form labels, but the checker did not open reliably during research. Therefore, this guide does not invent a password, PIN, date-of-birth field or checking fee. Complete the fields actually displayed by the official service.
If no result appears, compare the registration number, year and application type first. A record for an earlier session does not establish admission into a new intake. Likewise, a result from a different programme route may not describe your regular undergraduate application.
If you cannot access an account connected to your application, use the official recovery route or contact university ICT staff. Creating a second application can make it harder to identify the record you intended to use.
Confirm the EKSU offer on JAMB CAPS
Use the official JAMB eFacility portal. Sign in with your JAMB profile email and password, which may differ from any school login.
- Open Check Admission Status.
- Select your examination year and confirm your JAMB registration number.
- Choose Access my CAPS.
- Open Admission Status from the menu.
- Read the university and programme attached to your record.
- Complete JAMB’s current acceptance process if you want the offer.
After completing the action, check that the account records your decision. Follow any additional confirmation instruction shown for your profile. Do not assume that clicking an old screenshot’s button or using an unverified SMS format completes today’s process.

What the status messages mean
Admitted: Your account shows an offer. Check that it identifies Ekiti State University and read the exact course before accepting. Keep the result as evidence for registration.
Admission in Progress: A final offer has not yet appeared on your record. It is not a guarantee or a percentage prediction. Continue checking while official admission processing remains active.
Not Admitted: No offer currently appears in that account. A later offer may become available, but the message does not promise one. Review your application and qualification records instead of waiting without checking them.
Transfer Approval: The university may be proposing a different course. Read its requirements and decide whether it suits your plans before responding. Afterwards, return to Admission Status because a transfer response does not finish admission acceptance.
If the school result and JAMB result differ, preserve both records. Then check your O’level upload and any pending transfer action. If the mismatch remains, contact EKSU’s admissions office with your registration number and application evidence.

First, second and supplementary batches
The EKSU admission list may develop in stages as the university considers eligible candidates and available places. A merit list generally refers to an initial selection; later offers may cover further candidates or vacancies.
However, we have not verified an official timetable for a second, third or final 2026/2027 batch. Do not assume that every university must publish exactly three lists or that a new list will appear after a fixed interval.
If a list circulates as a PDF or screenshot, check its session and source before searching for your name. A document from an earlier intake can remain online long after that admission exercise has ended.
Also, compare both name and registration number where the list provides them. Applicants can have similar names. A cropped image without a session, course or identifying details gives too little evidence to establish a valid offer.
Follow our admission list updates when comparing other institutions. Base decisions on confirmed offers and deadlines rather than a prediction that another EKSU batch must include you.
Checks to make if your name is missing
Start with the application record. Confirm that you completed and submitted the university screening form for the correct intake. Review the acknowledgment slip, registration number and any payment receipt already issued.
Next, check the institution and course recorded in JAMB. If you changed institution or programme, confirm that the update appears correctly. Keep the evidence of that change in case admissions staff need to review it.
Then, check your O’level results on CAPS. Results attached to the school application do not automatically transfer to JAMB. Where a JAMB upload is missing, use an accredited centre and verify the corrected record afterwards.
Also, compare your subjects and credits with the requirements for your intended programme. A general application score does not guarantee admission into every department. Programme requirements and available places can affect the outcome.
Direct Entry applicants should review the qualification records and any verification required for that route. An incomplete qualification record can affect processing even when the university application is otherwise complete.
Finally, check Transfer Approval and any current university message asking for action. If everything is complete, continue checking official updates without assuming a later offer. Nobody can guarantee your name in the next admission batch.
What to do after EKSU offers admission
First, verify the course and complete JAMB acceptance. Print the JAMB admission letter when the accepted offer becomes available for printing. Save the university admission result as well.
Next, read EKSU’s current instructions for acceptance payment and clearance. Check the official invoice, amount and deadline for your intake. This update does not establish a current acceptance fee, so do not pay based on a historic figure from an older article.
Prepare the original qualification records, admission documents, application slip and identification documents requested for registration. Keep clear photocopies and receipts together. Raise any difference in names or programme details before proceeding.
After clearance, follow the university’s instructions for student account access, tuition and course registration. Check each completed stage in the official account rather than assuming that one payment has completed every requirement.
Finally, confirm the approved resumption notice and accommodation arrangements before travelling to Ado-Ekiti. An admission list announcement does not automatically set a resumption date or allocate a hostel room.

Does the 2026/2027 dropdown mean the list is fully released?
No. It shows that the year is available in the checking form. Your own details must return a matching offer, and you should confirm it on JAMB CAPS.
Which year should I select?
Select the year of the application you are checking. A result for an older intake does not establish admission into a later session.
Is Admission in Progress a guaranteed place?
No. A final offer has not yet appeared. Keep checking your records and resolve any missing qualification or transfer action.
When will EKSU release another batch?
We have not verified a current official release date. Follow the university’s current notices and check your own CAPS record.
What if I have a school offer but no CAPS offer?
Check your O’level upload and any Transfer Approval request, then contact EKSU admissions staff with evidence of the two results. Do not create another JAMB profile to resolve the difference.
