Latest UNICROSS admission list information
Admission reports published in October 2026 say UNICROSS has begun offering 2026/2027 admission through JAMB CAPS. One report on Myschool was dated 3 October. However, during this update we did not verify a separate list-release notice on the university website.
The official website does publish a 2026/2027 screening notice and provides an Admission Status service. However, the admission-checking note on that website still refers to 2025/2026. Therefore, do not assume that its older checking form confirms a 2026/2027 offer.
Use CAPS to inspect your current personal record. If a university checker displays the wrong session, wait for the appropriate service or ask admissions staff which route applies. An outdated label should not be silently treated as this year’s list.
Also, distinguish online screening registration from admission. UNICROSS’s current application instructions involve an E-PIN and an acknowledgment slip. Completing those steps confirms an application; it does not guarantee a place or replace a JAMB admission offer.
How to check the UNICROSS admission list on CAPS
Sign in through the official JAMB eFacility portal. Use the profile email and password linked to your JAMB registration.
- Open Check Admission Status in your account.
- Select the examination year for your application and check your registration number.
- Choose Access my CAPS.
- Open Admission Status from the CAPS menu.
- Read the institution and programme displayed on the offer.
- Follow JAMB’s current acceptance instructions if you want that programme.
After completing the action, return to the account and confirm that your decision is recorded. If the service asks for an additional confirmation step, follow the instructions shown for your record. Do not rely on an old SMS format or a screenshot from another applicant.
On a phone, the menu may not fit the mobile layout. Try desktop view and scroll across the page if needed. A blank or incomplete layout does not mean that you have no admission.

Checking through the university website
Start from the official UNICROSS website and locate Admission Status. Before entering your number, read the session information attached to that service.
The university website’s admission form asks for a JAMB registration number. However, its displayed note referred to 2025/2026 when we checked. For a 2026/2027 application, use the appropriate current instructions and confirm your offer on CAPS rather than interpreting an old-session result as current.
If the service later updates to your session, enter your registration number accurately and read the returned name and course. Save the result and any instructions supplied with it. Then compare the record with JAMB.
Do not confuse the school’s Post-UTME application portal with its student dashboard. The current screening application uses an E-PIN. A student account or payment code may belong to a later registration stage and may not be available before admission.
If a login or checking page fails, keep the error message and use the university’s official support route. Repeatedly creating accounts or paying for another E-PIN does not automatically fix an admission-status problem.
What the status messages tell you
Admitted means a current offer appears in your record. Check the institution and programme carefully. Complete acceptance only after deciding that you want the offered course, then verify the saved outcome.
Admission in Progress means processing has not reached a final offer in the account. It is not a guarantee and does not support a claim that admission is “90% certain”. Continue checking while the exercise remains active.
Not Admitted means no offer currently appears. It can change during ongoing processing, but a later offer is not assured. Review your application and qualification records so that an avoidable problem does not remain unresolved.
Transfer Approval relates to a proposed programme change. Read the course, relevant subjects and your own preferences before responding. Afterwards, return to Admission Status; a transfer response alone does not finish acceptance of an admission offer.
If the school record and CAPS differ, confirm your O’level upload and any outstanding transfer decision. Next, contact UNICROSS admissions staff with evidence of both results. Do not pay someone who claims to bypass university recommendation or JAMB approval.
Check the campus for your offered programme
UNICROSS’s current screening notice lists programmes across Calabar, Ogoja and Okuku. This matters after an offer because you need the correct campus for registration planning and accommodation.
The notice places programmes such as Engineering, Computing, Architecture and several science and education courses at Calabar. It lists Management Science programmes at Ogoja, and Agriculture and Basic Medical Science programmes at Okuku. Confirm the exact course in the current university notice rather than relying on a broad faculty description alone.
Also, the online screening notice says applicants do not need to travel physically for that application screening. Do not confuse this with a later registration or clearance instruction for admitted students. Read the instruction for the stage you are actually completing.
If your offer names a course different from the one you originally selected, confirm its campus before arranging housing. A room near one campus may not suit a programme based at another.
Merit, second and supplementary batches
The UNICROSS admission list may develop in stages as the university reviews candidates and available spaces. A merit list generally refers to an initial selection; later offers may cover additional candidates or vacancies.
However, we have not verified an official date for a second, third or final 2026/2027 batch. Do not assume that the university must publish exactly three lists or that all pending applicants will receive an offer in the next one.
Check the date and session on any forwarded PDF or image. A list labelled CRUTECH may belong to an older intake. The former name alone is not the problem; the document’s actual session and issuing source determine whether it applies to you.

Why an applicant may still be waiting
First, confirm that your screening application is complete. Keep the E-PIN, payment evidence and acknowledgment slip private. A payment without a submitted form may leave the application unfinished.
Next, check the university choice in JAMB. The current UNICROSS screening notice requires first choice, with a change of institution route for applicants who initially chose another school. Confirm that any change appears correctly in your record.
Then, review your required subjects and uploaded results. Results attached to the university form do not automatically appear in JAMB CAPS. Use an accredited JAMB centre to resolve a missing JAMB upload and verify the result afterwards.
Also, compare the programme in both systems and review Transfer Approval if it appears. A general minimum application score does not guarantee admission to every course. Programme requirements and available places still matter.

What to do after UNICROSS offers admission
Verify the course and complete JAMB acceptance. Print the JAMB admission letter when the accepted offer becomes available for printing, and save any university offer result for registration.
Next, follow the current UNICROSS instructions for acceptance payment, student account access and clearance. This update does not confirm a current acceptance fee amount. Use the official invoice for your intake rather than a historic CRUTECH figure.
Prepare the documents requested by the university and check that the names and programme details agree. Keep originals, photocopies and receipts together. Raise any mismatch with admissions staff before course registration.
Finally, confirm the assigned campus and approved resumption notice before travelling. Acceptance payment, school fees, accommodation and course registration are separate tasks. Follow the university’s stated order and save evidence of each completed stage.
Frequently asked questions
Is CRUTECH now UNICROSS?
Yes. The current name is University of Cross River State. Use current UNICROSS notices while recognising that older links and documents may contain CRUTECH.
Can I use a checker labelled 2025/2026 for this intake?
Do not treat an older-session result as proof of 2026/2027 admission. Check your current JAMB CAPS record and follow the university’s instructions for the correct session.
Does an E-PIN mean I have admission?
No. The E-PIN belongs to the screening application process. You still need a verified offer and the required acceptance and registration steps.
Must I travel for the online screening application?
The current application notice says candidates do not need to attend physically for screening. Later clearance or registration instructions may involve a campus visit, so read the notice for the relevant stage.
When will another batch appear?
We have not verified a current official release date for another 2026/2027 batch. Keep checking CAPS and the university’s current notices.
