FUPRE Admission List 2026/2027: How to Check and Accept

Check the FUPRE admission list for 2026/2027 through your personal JAMB CAPS record and the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun’s applicant portal. Confirm the programme offered and follow the university’s instructions for acceptance, clearance and registration.

This guide covers UTME and Direct Entry checking, merit and subsequent batches, pending statuses, course transfers and the steps after an approved offer. Keep your JAMB registration number and application credentials ready. A screening receipt or another candidate’s result cannot establish your own admission.

How to Check the FUPRE Admission List on JAMB CAPS

JAMB’s Central Admissions Processing System, generally called CAPS, displays the approved undergraduate offer for your application. Use the profile linked to that application.

  1. Open the official JAMB e-Facility portal.
  2. Sign in with your registered email address and password.
  3. Select Check Admission Status on the dashboard.
  4. Choose the correct examination year and provide your registration number where requested.
  5. Open Access my CAPS, then Admission Status.
  6. Review the institution, course and decision before accepting an offer.

If the layout differs from an older screenshot, follow the admission-status labels shown in your account. On a phone, Desktop site can help reveal hidden navigation. You may also need to scroll across the page to read the full record.

Check the year carefully if you previously applied through the same profile. An earlier offer does not establish your present outcome. Save useful confirmation records and obtain the admission letter required for registration.

Our JAMB portal login guide and school admission-status guide explain related access steps.

Checking the FUPRE Admission List Through SOAP

FUPRE’s Student Online Application Portal, known as SOAP, provides separate routes for different application categories. Use the official undergraduate applicant login for your relevant record. The public login asks for your JAMB number and password.

  1. Open the undergraduate application login.
  2. Enter the JAMB number attached to your application.
  3. Enter the password issued or set for that account.
  4. Sign in and review the application status and instructions available to you.
  5. Check CAPS separately for the approved admission offer.

Use the Forgot Password option if you cannot access an existing account. Compare your number with the application slip first. Do not create a duplicate application simply to solve a login error.

SOAP also has routes for returning students, Direct Entry, basic studies and postgraduate applications. Therefore, choose the service for your own category. A returning-student account is different from an applicant screening record.

For an error, record the message and contact the portal’s technical-support address, soap@fupre.edu.ng. Provide the relevant application reference and describe the problem clearly. Keep your account password private.

FUPRE Screening Records and Admission Requirements

The university’s 2026/2027 UTME screening page states that candidates must have chosen FUPRE as first choice and scored at least 160 in the 2026 UTME. That is the stated screening eligibility threshold, rather than a guarantee of admission to every programme.

The published registration period ran from May 25 to August 25, 2026. The supplementary screening test was scheduled for August 24–25, 2026. Those dates have passed, so an existing application should be checked against its completed record and subsequent university instructions.

The application guidance separates payment, completion of the form and submission of the confirmation page. Review each stage. A Remita receipt alone does not establish that the application was fully submitted or that admission has been approved.

Also compare your O’Level subjects and UTME combination with the programme requirements. Confirm the uploads required in the school record and on JAMB CAPS. An uploaded result on one platform does not automatically complete a separate upload task on another.

Direct Entry applicants should follow the separate DE route and qualification instructions. Do not apply the UTME test process to a different entry category. Keep the qualifications used for entry available for later verification.

FUPRE Admission List: Merit, First and Subsequent Batches

A batch describes a release of offers. Your personal record establishes whether you have received a place. Check CAPS and university notices for additions instead of relying on a forwarded message about a numbered batch.

Applicants may receive decisions at different times. A friend’s successful result does not prove that everyone in a department has been admitted. When your own offer is approved, review it promptly rather than waiting for a social-media batch announcement.

If the university publishes a list document, first read its academic session and programme heading. Then search your registration number using Ctrl + F on a computer or Find in page on a phone. Compare the course and identifying details.

A matching name alone can be misleading where candidates have similar names. Likewise, a genuine list from an earlier session cannot confirm a current offer. Keep the personal admission documents required for acceptance and clearance.

What Does the FUPRE Merit Admission List Mean?

Merit concerns the basis of selection. It is not automatically another name for the first batch. Scores, qualifications, programme requirements, selection categories and available places all form part of admission processing.

Meeting the general screening minimum allows consideration for the relevant stage. It does not establish a personal offer into your preferred course. Read the actual decision in your account.

Understanding Your FUPRE Admission Status

Admission in Progress

Admission in Progress is an encouraging sign that your application is moving through the process. Prepare your documents and continue checking for an approved offer. Use final confirmation when completing the applicable acceptance instructions.

For a pending record, JAMB’s support guidance identifies O’Level results, the institution’s recommendation and unaccepted transfer proposals as checks to make. Focus on unresolved requirements rather than assuming every status changes within the same number of days.

Not Admitted

Your record currently has no approved offer. First confirm the year and candidate details. Then review application completion, required uploads and any proposed course change. Continue following official instructions while processing continues.

Admitted

An offer is available for review. Check the institution and programme, decide whether you intend to take the place and complete the response procedure. Retain the confirmation and admission records needed for registration.

Why Your Name May Be Missing

A missing offer can have several causes. Start with the parts of your record you can confirm instead of assuming a high score guarantees admission or that selection is random.

  • Confirm the correct examination year and JAMB registration number.
  • Check the first-choice institution attached to the application.
  • Confirm that the screening application was submitted, rather than only paid for.
  • Review required results, uploads and programme subject combinations.
  • Check for a course-transfer proposal awaiting your response.
  • Report a specific mismatch between school and JAMB records through the appropriate office.

UTME and Direct Entry applicants should compare the requirements for their own route. Selection categories and available places also matter. However, state of origin alone does not establish why a particular candidate’s offer is missing.

How to Accept FUPRE Admission

JAMB’s published acceptance procedure includes sending ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 from the phone line linked to your profile. An accredited CBT centre or JAMB office can assist with access and verification problems.

After responding, confirm that the decision was recorded. If CAPS proposes another programme through Transfer Approval, read the new course before agreeing. Accepting the transfer enables further processing; responding to the eventual admission offer is a separate action.

Next, follow FUPRE’s institutional acceptance and fresh-student instructions. Generate any required payment advice through the designated university service and retain receipts. An earlier screening payment should not be confused with a later acceptance or registration bill.

After FUPRE Admission: Clearance, Fees and Resumption

Prepare the documents requested in the current fresh-student notice. These cover academic qualifications, admission records and identification, with relevant additional entry qualifications for DE candidates. Follow the exact list, format and copy requirements issued by the university.

Compare names, registration numbers and programme details across your records before clearance. Report a mismatch through the appropriate office. Present original credentials where required; paying a bill does not replace academic verification.

Obtain the JAMB admission letter and follow the arrangements for the university’s own admission documents. Then complete fees, departmental requirements and course registration in the stated order. Use the invoice for your programme, level and student category.

Retain the completed registration records, payment references and receipts. If a transaction is unclear, confirm its result through the university before trying again. Avoid unofficial payment references and promises of guaranteed admission.

Accommodation requires a separate allocation and payment arrangement. An offer does not automatically secure a hostel bed. Finally, check the university timetable and our FUPRE resumption guide before planning travel.

FUPRE Admission List FAQs

Does a Screening Receipt Confirm Admission?

No. It records a payment stage. You still need an approved offer and must complete acceptance and registration.

Can Direct Entry Applicants Check CAPS?

Yes. Use the profile attached to the DE application and follow FUPRE’s separate Direct Entry instructions.

Do I Need a PDF Before Accepting?

No. Review your approved personal offer and follow the university’s instructions. A downloaded list does not replace the required admission documents.

What If I Have Forgotten My SOAP Password?

Use the login page’s password-recovery option. If the error continues, contact the official portal support address with your application reference.

Conclusion

Check the FUPRE admission list through your own CAPS record and university applicant account. Review the course, complete acceptance after an approved offer and follow clearance and registration instructions. Browse our admission-list guides for related updates.
