Check the AAU admission list through Ambrose Alli University’s official portal and your JAMB CAPS account. Confirm the course offered, the academic session and your registration number before accepting an offer or paying admission charges.
Last updated: 9 October 2026. AAU here means Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State. It does not refer to Adekunle Ajasin University, whose abbreviation is AAUA.
Latest AAU admission list information
AAU has an official undergraduate admission notice for the 2026/2027 session. Admission list reports also appeared in September 2026, including a MySchoolGist report dated 22 September. However, we did not verify a separate current list-release announcement on the university website during this update.
Therefore, use your own portal result and JAMB CAPS as the evidence for your admission. However, a report that the list is out cannot confirm that a particular candidate has an offer. Also, the existence of an application form does not mean that all admission batches are complete.
The official 2026/2027 application notice stated that selection would use JAMB scores and that there would be no Post-UTME screening examination. Therefore, this matters when checking old advice about waiting for a separate AAU aptitude-test score. Follow the current notice for your session.
Its initial application period ran from 1 to 30 June 2026. Those dates have passed. Do not assume the form is still open unless AAU announces an extension or another application window. Likewise, the application fee in that notice is not an acceptance fee.
How to check the AAU admission list on the university portal
Begin at the official AAU ePortal. Use the applicant account attached to your screening registration and keep your JAMB number ready.
- Open the official portal and locate the applicant or admission section.
- Check that the session matches your application.
- Enter the registration number and password requested by that particular login page.
- Open the admission status section after signing in.
- Read the course, candidate details and any instructions displayed with the result.
- Save the result and cross-check the offer on JAMB CAPS.
Also, the university’s application notice links to an older application service as well as naming its ePortal. During research, the linked UTME application page did not load successfully. Therefore, start from the official ePortal instead of repeatedly entering details into an expired deep link.
Also, keep the university password separate from your JAMB password. If you cannot access the AAU applicant account, use the recovery option provided by the portal or contact the university’s ICT support. Creating another application can leave you with conflicting records.
If a result is blank, first check the login details and session. Next, compare the JAMB number with the one on your application slip. A portal error or unsuccessful login is different from a displayed “Not Admitted” result.
Confirm your offer on JAMB CAPS
Open the official JAMB eFacility portal using your JAMB profile email and password. Then follow these steps:
- Select Check Admission Status in your account.
- Choose the correct examination year and check your JAMB registration number.
- Open Access my CAPS.
- Select Admission Status from the CAPS menu.
- Check that the institution is Ambrose Alli University and read the course offered.
- Complete the acceptance action using JAMB’s current instructions, then verify the recorded outcome.
If the menu is hard to see on a phone, try desktop view in the browser. Scroll across the page if necessary. Do not conclude that admission has failed just because the mobile version initially shows an incomplete layout.

Understand the message in your account
Admitted means your account shows an admission offer. Before accepting it, compare the course with the programme you want to study. Once you complete the action, check that JAMB records your acceptance.
Admission in Progress means the process has not yet reached a final offer on your record. It does not provide a reliable percentage chance of admission. Keep your application evidence and check again while the exercise continues.
Not Admitted means no offer currently appears. A later offer may become available, but the message does not promise one. Review the application, required subjects and uploaded results so that an avoidable record problem does not remain unresolved.
Transfer Approval needs separate attention. If AAU proposes another course, review its requirements and decide whether you want it. After responding, return to Admission Status; a transfer response alone is not the same as accepting an admission offer.
If the university result and CAPS disagree, preserve both results and contact AAU’s admissions office with your registration number. Check your O’level upload first. Avoid sending a password or one-time code to a person claiming to “speed up” admission.
First, second and supplementary admission lists
The AAU admission list may develop in stages as the university considers candidates and available places. However, do not assume there will always be a first, second and third list with fixed release dates.
For example, a merit list generally refers to an initial selection. A supplementary list may cover further offers or remaining vacancies. Neither label overrides the course and conditions displayed in your personal account.
At this update, we have not confirmed an official timetable for another 2026/2027 AAU batch. Keep checking the portal and CAPS for changes. You can also follow our admission list updates when comparing offers from other institutions.
If a list circulates as a PDF or screenshot, check the university name, session and publication source before searching for your name. However, old lists can continue circulating long after the intake they belong to has ended.
Why a candidate may not yet have admission
First, check whether AAU appears correctly as your institution choice in JAMB. The official 2026/2027 notice required AAU as first choice. If you changed institution, confirm that the change reached the account used for admission processing.
Next, review the results in both systems. A successful school application does not automatically upload your O’level results to JAMB CAPS. Where the upload is missing or incorrect, visit an accredited JAMB centre and confirm the corrected record afterwards.
The university also warned candidates to use complete names rather than initials. Compare your application details with your UTME and qualification documents. If a mismatch exists, ask the appropriate institution about its correction process rather than editing documents yourself.
In addition, confirm the subject requirements for your chosen programme. A general application score does not guarantee admission into a more competitive course. The university must consider programme requirements and available spaces alongside eligible applications.
Direct Entry applicants should check their qualification verification as well. AAU’s current notice requires relevant A’level verification through JAMB. A missing verification can affect processing even when an applicant has completed the university form.
Finally, look at Transfer Approval and any university message asking you to take an action. If everything is complete, continue checking official updates. Therefore, an agent cannot guarantee a place in a later AAU batch. Our school admission status guide explains how to compare the two records.
Steps after an AAU offer
Start by completing JAMB acceptance for the correct course. Then print the admission letter when the accepted offer becomes available for that service. Also, keep a copy of the university result.
Next, read the current AAU instructions for acceptance payment and clearance. Then, confirm the amount on the official invoice for your session. Do not confuse a screening application charge with the fee for accepting admission.
Prepare the documents named in your offer or clearance notice. These may include admission letters, O’level evidence, UTME or Direct Entry documents, the application slip and identification records. Keep receipts and clear copies in a folder so that each stage is easier to complete.
After clearance, follow the university’s instructions for school fees, student account activation and course registration. Also, check the approved resumption date before travelling to Ekpoma or committing to accommodation. An admission list announcement does not automatically set a resumption date.
Frequently asked questions
Is this the same as the AAUA admission list?
No. AAU is Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. AAUA is Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko. Read the institution name on the offer before taking any action.
Do I need an AAU Post-UTME examination score?
The official 2026/2027 notice said there would be no Post-UTME screening examination and that selection would use JAMB scores. Check the current instructions for your own intake rather than an older test guide.
Can an admission screenshot replace my CAPS result?
No. Use the screenshot as a reason to check your own records. Your JAMB registration number, institution and course must match the offer in your account.
When will AAU release its next batch?
We have not verified a current official date for another batch. Check the university portal and notices for a confirmed update.
What if I forgot my applicant password?
Use the recovery option on the official AAU portal or ask university ICT staff for help. Your JAMB eFacility password belongs to a different account and may not work on the school portal.
