FUD Admission List 2026/2027: Status and How to Check

A release date for the FUD admission list for 2026/2027 is not confirmed here. Federal University Dutse candidates can check their individual decision through JAMB CAPS and the university’s public checking form. An available checker does not, by itself, confirm that a session’s list has been released.

Last Updated: October 8, 2026

Use your own application details and confirm the session attached to any result. This guide explains both checking routes, the difference between screening and admission, common reasons for a pending record, and the registration steps after an offer.

How to Check the FUD Admission List on the University Portal

Open the official FUD MyPortal. The public admission-status option is separate from the student account login.

  1. Select Check your admission status below the login form.
  2. Enter your complete JAMB registration number in the checking box.
  3. Choose check and read the result attached to your record.
  4. Compare the institution, programme and session with your application.

Use the number for the application you are checking. A JAMB profile code, examination number from another year or a newly generated student registration number is not the same identifier. A typing error can produce an unhelpful result without telling you anything about the real admission decision.

The public form does not require you to invent student-login credentials just to start the admission check. If it gives an error, retain the exact message and retry when the service is available. FUD lists ictsupport@fud.edu.ng for registration enquiries and complaints.

How to Check the FUD Admission List on JAMB CAPS

Use the JAMB account linked to your UTME or Direct Entry application. Keep the registered email address, password and correct registration number available.

  1. Visit the official JAMB e-Facility portal and sign in to your account.
  2. Open the admission-status service on the dashboard.
  3. Select the relevant examination year and enter your registration number if the service requests them.
  4. Open CAPS and review Admission Status.
  5. Read the institution, course and decision, then follow any applicable offer instructions.

Our JAMB portal login guide explains the account route. If controls are difficult to see on a phone, try desktop view or a computer. An inaccessible page or forgotten password is an account problem, not an admission result.

Compare the university result with CAPS instead of relying on a forwarded screenshot. Use your own record and keep your password private. For a fuller explanation of the two systems, see our school admission-status guide.

FUD Screening Records and Admission Decisions

FUD’s published 2026/2027 online screening procedure gave a registration period of 7 July to 30 September 2026. It described a ₦3,000 screening payment, result uploads, and acknowledgement and payment slips. Those are screening details; they do not announce the release of an admission list.

The screening login requests a UTME or Direct Entry registration number and state of origin. It requires O’Level records, with no more than two sittings, and A’Level records where applicable. Check that the information in your submitted application matches your genuine documents.

A screening payment receipt means that a payment was recorded. An acknowledgement means that an application stage was recorded. Neither should be treated as an admission letter or a new student’s school-fee receipt.

The published September deadline has passed. Do not assume that an old application page means registration has reopened; a new opportunity needs a matching official notice. Our FUD Post-UTME guide covers the screening topic separately.

FUD Merit, First and Subsequent Admission Batches

A merit list describes selection under the institution’s applicable merit criteria. A first batch describes the order of a release. The expressions may overlap, but they should not automatically be treated as interchangeable.

Confirm the session and selection category named in any announcement. A 2023/2024 list or an old January release date cannot establish the timing of 2026/2027 admission. This guide does not announce an unverified first, second or third batch.

Decisions may appear at different times, but no further batch is guaranteed here. While processing remains active, review your own records and follow official updates. A friend’s admission date does not determine when, or whether, your own offer will appear.

Understanding Your FUD Admission Status

Admission in Progress

Your admission is still being processed. It can be encouraging, but it is not a final offer or a guarantee of admission.

Keep your results and application details available. Deal with an actual outstanding requirement and wait for a definite offer before making plans that depend on confirmed admission.

Not Admitted

No offer is currently displayed in the record you checked. If the admission exercise is continuing, that message does not by itself establish every later outcome. It also does not promise a future offer.

Check the year and registration number first. Then review whether your application and qualifications meet the relevant requirements. Repeatedly refreshing the screen will not correct missing records.

Admitted

An admitted status indicates an offer for the institution and course shown. Read the details carefully, especially if the programme differs from the one you originally selected.

Follow JAMB’s current acceptance process and FUD’s registration instructions. Provisional admission remains subject to the applicable document and eligibility checks.

Why Your Name May Be Missing from the FUD Admission List

There are several possible explanations, so start with your own application rather than assumptions about how other candidates were selected.

  • You may be checking an old session, a different entry route or an incorrect registration number.
  • Your screening or supporting document submission may be incomplete.
  • Your qualifications or subject combination may not satisfy the selected programme.
  • A transfer proposal may require your attention.
  • Your application may still be under consideration, or a place may not have been offered.

JAMB’s guidance identifies result uploads, institutional recommendation and transfer approval as useful checks when admission has not reflected. Review these where relevant; do not assume that each one applies to every pending candidate.

A general minimum score establishes eligibility for consideration under the relevant rules. It cannot guarantee a place in a competitive programme. Consult the FUD cut-off-mark guide for that separate topic, and check the session and source of any figure you use.

How to Accept a FUD Admission Offer

Confirm the institution and course before making your decision. Use the acceptance method currently provided by JAMB and keep the confirmation. If the procedure fails, seek help through JAMB support or an accredited CBT centre using your own account details.

A proposed course transfer needs its own careful decision. Read what the new course is before responding. Do not click rejection while experimenting with controls or accept an unfamiliar programme without understanding the offer.

University acceptance payment and JAMB acceptance are separate actions where both apply. A receipt cannot create an offer that your admission record does not show.

What to Do After FUD Admission

Follow the university’s current clearance and registration sequence after accepting the appropriate offer. The public MyPortal instructions place Head of Department verification before the initial fresh-student login.

After that verification, the published login instructions use the JAMB number as username and state of origin in capital letters as password. School-fee invoices must originate from MyPortal; the university directs candidates to its Remita payment option rather than starting on the separate Remita website.

Retain receipts and follow the required faculty verification and student-registration stages. Keep the resulting registration number safely. Complete the requested medical, biodata and course-registration steps, seeking course advice from your level coordinator where needed.

Prepare the documents requested for your entry route before travelling. UTME and Direct Entry applicants may have different academic evidence to supply. A general checklist from a group should not replace the instructions attached to your own offer.

Confirm each payment amount, its purpose and deadline in the university’s current instructions. Screening fees, acceptance charges, school fees and accommodation payments are different items. Keep the invoice and receipt for each transaction.

Check accommodation availability and the confirmed resumption notice separately. Our FUD resumption guide covers that topic; an admission offer does not establish a travel date or guarantee a hostel room.

FUD Admission List FAQs

Can I Start the University Admission Check Without a Student Password?

Yes. The public checking form requests a JAMB registration number. Student-account login is a separate service with its own prerequisites.

Does My Screening Receipt Prove Admission?

No. It records a screening payment. Check for an actual offer in the relevant admission records and follow its acceptance conditions.

Can Direct Entry Applicants Check CAPS?

Yes. Use the account and registration details for the Direct Entry application. Your qualification checks remain relevant even if an admission decision is still pending.

Must I Wait for a PDF to Accept an Offer?

No. An individual offer on CAPS can be checked without waiting for a public PDF. Review the offer’s details and use the current acceptance process.

What Should I Do If the Two Checkers Give Different Results?

Compare the year, registration number and programme first. Review outstanding requirements and contact the appropriate university or JAMB support service with the exact mismatch.

Conclusion

Use your own JAMB CAPS account and FUD’s public admission-status form to check your decision. Confirm the session, distinguish screening records from an offer, and follow the university’s clearance and payment sequence after admission.

Our admission-list guides provide related checking information for other institutions.

Admission notices and portal arrangements can change. Follow the latest official instructions before accepting an offer, paying a charge or travelling for registration.
