The Poly Ibadan admission list for 2026/2027 has a first-batch ND full-time release report from MySchoolGist. Candidates should check their own result through the school’s portal and confirm the applicable offer on JAMB CAPS. That report does not establish that every HND, Daily Part-Time or other admission route has completed its lists.
The Polytechnic, Ibadan uses a Schooltry portal with a main login and a separate undergraduate pre-admission route. Choose the route matching your application stage. A screening acknowledgement or access to a student login is not, on its own, an admission offer.

What the Poly Ibadan admission list report covers
MySchoolGist’s September report identifies the first batch for ND full-time applicants. It directs candidates to the school portal and the applicable JAMB acceptance process. The scope should remain ND full-time unless a separate notice establishes another programme’s release.
Do not treat that report as proof that HND selection, part-time admission or every supplementary round has finished. Applicants in those routes should use their own application result and the current programme notice.
A provisional offer also needs its conditions read. The course, session and study mode on the record should match the programme you intend to register for. An offer is a new stage in the process; it does not automatically complete clearance, tuition payment or accommodation allocation.
Start with the Schooltry portal
Open the Polytechnic Ibadan Schooltry portal. Its public main page provides an ID and password login and routes relating to pre-admission. Use the details issued for your own account rather than another student’s matriculation record.
- Choose the route corresponding to your application or new-student stage.
- Enter the account details requested on that page.
- Open the admission result associated with your submitted programme.
- Confirm the qualification, course, study mode and academic session.
- Save the decision and the current acceptance or clearance conditions.
The undergraduate pre-admission service is a different stage from a returning-student account. Follow its current instructions if you are still completing application verification. Do not interpret successful account verification as a final offer unless the record actually states admission.
If the page’s labels change, follow the current school route. The public pages reviewed do not justify inventing a universal dashboard menu or password format for every admission category.
Keep application and student identifiers separate
Your school application number, JAMB registration number and later student identifier can serve different purposes. Use the one requested by the current service. Keep the application acknowledgement so you can explain which programme and route you submitted.
If you have forgotten the password, use the recovery instruction provided by the portal. Creating a new account may leave the old application disconnected from the login you are now using. Ask the school’s ICT or admissions support which record should be recovered.
On a shared computer, confirm the account before entering data and sign out when finished. A registration centre handling several applicants should keep each person’s records separate. You need the final acknowledgement and payment reference for your own application, not merely a verbal assurance that it was submitted.
Confirm an ND full-time offer through JAMB CAPS
Sign in to JAMB e-Facility using your own account. Open Check Admission Status and the CAPS admission view for the relevant examination year. Read the institution, course and final status together.
If the school’s record shows an offer while CAPS is still unfinished, preserve both dated responses. Ask the Polytechnic what recommendation or documentation remains outstanding. A school acceptance receipt does not itself establish that the JAMB decision has been completed.
Try desktop view if a phone shows only the welcome panel or part of the menu. The Witspot JAMB portal guide explains account access in more detail. Follow the current JAMB instruction for accepting or rejecting a displayed offer, then verify your response is recorded.
HND and Daily Part-Time applicants
An HND application builds on an earlier ND qualification. Check the school result attached to that application and prepare the qualification records requested for verification. A fresh ND full-time offer on CAPS cannot establish an HND admission decision.
Keep your ND result and any relevant experience or transcript correspondence together. The current department’s instruction should establish the required records and their submission route. Do not infer a universal HND fee or qualification exception from an older session’s article.
Daily Part-Time and other flexible routes also need their own programme label and registration instructions checked. Ask the school which JAMB registration requirements apply. A difference in timetable does not establish that documentation or acceptance conditions can be ignored.
Pending decisions and a missing name
Admission in Progress, Recommended and Pending are unfinished outcomes. They do not guarantee an offer. Likewise, Not Admitted means no offer is displayed at the time of the check, without explaining the reason by itself.
Review the submitted course, institution choice and academic information. A pending message may need follow-up, but the message alone cannot diagnose an eligibility problem or establish that every place has been filled. Ask about the specific application record.
A login problem is different from a missing offer. If you cannot enter the correct account, resolve access before concluding that the admission list excludes you. Keep the error response and the relevant application identifier for the support enquiry.
First batch, merit lists and supplementary notices
The reported first-batch release applies to ND full-time admission. A later release should be identified from its own school notice. Do not promise a second or third list merely because applicants expect one.
An early result does not automatically establish an official merit-batch label. Read the selection category in the announcement. Programme requirements and available spaces can affect admission, so a general threshold should not be presented as a guaranteed offer.
No complete current-session PDF covering all qualifications and study modes was verified for this update. If a file circulates, inspect its institution, session, programme heading and source. Your individual record can be checked without waiting for an all-batches download.
Resolve a course difference before accepting
Compare the course on the school result with the one on your applicable JAMB record. If either shows a proposed change, read the qualification and requirements of the new course before making your decision.
Ask which update is needed when the two records disagree. A change on one service may require follow-up on the other. Keep any acknowledgement of the approved correction instead of assuming that a payment receipt establishes the new course.
Also verify the study mode. An ND full-time offer and a part-time offer can carry different registration conditions. Resolving the programme first helps ensure that the acceptance action and fee invoice belong to the same approved record.
Acceptance and clearance documents
After confirming the offer, complete the current JAMB acceptance or rejection action where applicable and follow the Polytechnic’s school acceptance procedure. Keep evidence of both stages. Neither should be assumed complete simply because the other has produced a receipt or message.
Prepare your application acknowledgement, school admission document, relevant JAMB records and original academic results. HND candidates should add the ND and supporting papers requested by the department. Follow the actual clearance checklist for identification, photographs and copies.
A provisional offer is different from clearance approval. Read which records must be verified and where the process takes place. Keep the originals available even if scans were submitted online, and ask for guidance if a document cannot be obtained in time.
Fees, accommodation and reporting dates
No single 2026/2027 acceptance fee, school-fee total or registration deadline was verified for every Ibadan programme. Use the current offer and official invoice. Confirm the applicant identifier, course and purpose of the charge before paying.
If a payment is debited without a receipt, check the transaction using its reference and the stated support route before paying again. Application, acceptance, tuition and hostel charges serve different purposes. Keep each receipt so that a disputed payment can be traced.
Accommodation is a separate arrangement; admission does not automatically allocate a hostel bed. Confirm the current resumption and clearance notices before travelling. If a deadline has passed, obtain current school guidance rather than assuming an extension or automatic cancellation.
FAQs
Does the ND first batch cover HND applicants?
No. The reported release concerns ND full-time admission. HND candidates should check their own school result and programme-specific verification instructions.
Is pre-admission verification the same as admission?
No. Verification is an application stage. Read the actual decision and offer conditions before treating portal access or an acknowledgement as proof of admission.
Can I use another student’s ID to see my result?
Use the account and identifier issued for your own application. Another student’s login cannot establish your decision and can lead to records being confused.
What if the course differs on the two portals?
Keep dated records from both services and ask the admissions unit which correction or approval remains outstanding. Resolve the difference before making programme-specific payments.
Does an offer reserve hostel accommodation?
No. Confirm the school’s accommodation process separately. The offer, clearance approval and hostel allocation are different stages with their own requirements.
