Check the ESUT admission list through the university’s current admission services and JAMB CAPS. Use the correct academic session and programme type, then confirm the course offered in your own account. ESUT means Enugu State University of Science and Technology.
Last updated: 9 October 2026. This guide concerns regular undergraduate UTME and Direct Entry admission. A result from an ICS or another programme service may not describe your regular admission application.
Latest ESUT admission list information
ESUT’s official 2026/2027 screening advert says candidates will receive admission-status information through the university portal and JAMB CAPS. However, during this update we did not verify a separate official announcement naming a first, second or final admission batch for this session.
The public regular admission-status page we found still carries a 2025/2026 heading. A separate name-search page refers to ICS admission and includes 2026-2027. Therefore, neither an old session label nor a different programme’s form should be silently treated as the regular 2026/2027 list.
Check your own JAMB record and follow the university’s current instructions for the correct route. An unavailable current school checker does not establish that you have no admission, and a year in a dropdown does not prove that every offer is ready.
Also, the original application period in the 2026/2027 advert ran from 7 July to 15 August 2026. Those dates have passed. Do not treat the advert as evidence that applications remain open unless the university issues a later extension.
How to check the ESUT admission list through the school portal
Start from the official ESUT portal. Read the programme and session information before entering your registration number.
- Locate the admission-status service for regular students or your actual application route.
- Confirm that it applies to the intake you are checking.
- Enter your JAMB registration number in the field requested by that service.
- Follow any additional fields or instructions displayed for your application type.
- Read the returned name, course and admission status.
- Save the result and compare it with JAMB CAPS.
If the page still shows 2025/2026, do not present its result as proof of a 2026/2027 offer without matching session information or university confirmation. Likewise, an ICS name-search result is not automatically a regular UTME result.
The Screening Application service does a different job. Entering your JAMB number there may open an application or acknowledgment record rather than an admission offer. A submitted form or screening payment does not guarantee a place.
If a portal does not load, check your connection and try the official service again later. Keep a copy of any error message. If the problem persists, ask university ICT or admissions staff which route applies to your record.
Do not create duplicate applications or use another person’s registration number to test whether the list is out. Your own number and session must produce the result relevant to you.
Confirm the ESUT offer on JAMB CAPS
Use the official JAMB eFacility portal with the email address and password attached to your JAMB profile.
- Open Check Admission Status after signing in.
- Select the correct examination year and confirm your JAMB registration number.
- Choose Access my CAPS.
- Open Admission Status from the menu.
- Read the institution and programme displayed in your account.
- Follow JAMB’s current acceptance instructions for an offer you want to take.
After completing the action, return to your record and confirm that the decision is saved. Follow any additional confirmation step shown for your account. Do not rely on an old SMS instruction that the current service does not provide.
If CAPS shows an incomplete menu on a phone, try desktop view and scroll across the page. A display problem is different from a “Not Admitted” decision. Our JAMB portal login guide explains account access; select your own examination year inside JAMB.
What the admission messages mean
Admitted: Your JAMB account shows an offer. Check that it names ESUT and read the exact programme before accepting. Save the result for university registration.
Admission in Progress: Processing has not yet produced a final offer in the account. It is not a guarantee or a percentage prediction. Continue checking while the exercise remains active.
Not Admitted: No offer currently appears. A later offer may become available, but the message does not promise one. Review your application and qualifications so that an incomplete record does not remain unresolved.
Transfer Approval: A different programme may be under consideration. Read its requirements and decide whether you want it before responding. Afterwards, return to Admission Status because transfer approval and admission acceptance are separate actions.
If the school service shows admission while CAPS does not, preserve both results. Then check your O’level upload and any outstanding transfer action. If the difference remains, contact ESUT admissions staff with your application evidence.

Screening conditions that can affect admission
ESUT’s 2026/2027 advert states that screening is online and that applicants do not need to attend a physical screening or aptitude test for that application stage. Do not confuse this with a later clearance requirement for admitted students.
The advert gives different minimum application scores for different courses. For example, Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Sciences and Law have a 240 minimum, while the listed general group and other courses have a 160 minimum. Meeting an application score still does not guarantee admission to that programme.
It also requires O’level results on JAMB CAPS and warns against inconsistent names across qualification and registration documents. Check your records early so that a missing upload or mismatch does not remain unnoticed.
For awaiting-result candidates, the advert says results released after 30 September 2026 will not be accepted. That date has passed. If your result falls outside the stated condition, ask ESUT admissions staff about your case rather than assuming a later upload changes the rule.
Direct Entry applicants are also screened online. The advert asks them to obtain verification and clearance from their former institutions through JAMB eFacility. Review that requirement alongside the university application record.
Merit, second and supplementary batches
The ESUT admission list may develop in stages as the university reviews candidates and available places. A merit list generally means an initial selection; supplementary offers may cover further candidates or vacancies.
However, we have not verified an official timetable for another 2026/2027 batch. Do not assume that ESUT must publish exactly three lists or release another one after a fixed number of weeks.
Check the session and programme type on every forwarded PDF or screenshot. An earlier regular list, an ICS result or a postgraduate notice cannot confirm a current regular undergraduate offer.
If a later supplementary application notice appears, read its requirements separately. It may ask eligible candidates to take an action, but it does not automatically grant admission. Confirm the score, subjects and programme conditions before responding.
Use our admission list updates to compare other institutions. Base decisions on confirmed offers and deadlines rather than a prediction that another ESUT batch must include you.
Checks to make if your name is missing
First, confirm that your university screening application is complete for the correct session. Review the acknowledgment slip and registration number. A screening payment alone may not show that you submitted the form.
Next, check the university choice and programme in JAMB. If you changed to ESUT, confirm that the new choice appears correctly. Keep the evidence of any institution or course change for reference.
Then, verify the O’level record on CAPS. Uploading results to a university form does not automatically place them in JAMB. Where a JAMB upload is missing, use an accredited centre and check the record afterwards.
Also, compare your subjects, credits and qualification dates with the university’s current conditions. Available places and programme requirements can affect selection even when an applicant meets a general minimum score.
Finally, review Transfer Approval and any current message asking for action. If your records are complete, continue checking official updates without assuming a later offer. Nobody can guarantee your name in the next ESUT batch.
What to do after ESUT offers admission
Verify the course and complete JAMB acceptance. Print the JAMB admission letter when the accepted offer becomes available for printing, and save the university result for registration.
Next, read the current ESUT instructions for acceptance payment, clearance and student account access. This update does not confirm a current acceptance fee amount or deadline. Use the official invoice for your intake rather than a historical fee figure.
Prepare the admission letters, qualification records, application slip and identification documents requested by the university. Keep originals, photocopies and receipts together. Resolve differences in names or programme details before registering courses.
Finally, check the approved resumption and registration notices before arranging travel or accommodation. Clearance, tuition and course registration are separate stages. Follow the university’s stated order and save evidence of each completed requirement.
Frequently asked questions
Is an ICS admission result the same as a regular UTME result?
Do not assume so. Use the service for the programme route you applied through and confirm the institution and course on JAMB CAPS.
Can I use a page labelled 2025/2026 for 2026/2027?
An older-session page should not be treated as proof of a new-session offer without matching session information or university confirmation. Check your current CAPS record meanwhile.
Must I travel for the application screening?
The current advert says the screening is online and applicants do not need a physical screening or aptitude test for that stage. Follow any later clearance instructions separately after admission.
Does meeting the minimum score guarantee admission?
No. It establishes an application condition. Relevant subjects, qualifications, available places and the university’s selection process still matter.
When will the next ESUT batch be released?
We have not verified a current official release date for another 2026/2027 batch. Follow the university’s current notices and check your own CAPS record.
