Check the DELSU admission list through the university’s official admission services and JAMB CAPS. Confirm that the result belongs to Delta State University, Abraka, your application session and your registration number. An admission report or another candidate’s screenshot cannot confirm your personal offer.

Latest DELSU admission list information
September 2026 admission reports say DELSU has released offers for 2026/2027. Myschool published a report on 21 September directing candidates to the university’s admission portal. However, we did not verify a separate current list-release announcement on the university website during this update.
Therefore, use the offer displayed in your own records as the evidence for your admission. The university’s website links to an Admission Portal, regular undergraduate checking, Direct Entry checking and several other programme services. These links do not all describe the same admission route.
Also, the older regular and Direct Entry checking pages currently carry the heading Check for Previous Admission Status. Do not silently treat a previous-session checker as proof of a new 2026/2027 offer.
If a current service is not available for your application type, check JAMB CAPS and ask DELSU admissions staff which university route applies. An unavailable checker or an old label does not establish that the admission exercise has ended.
How to check the DELSU admission list through the university
Start from the official DELSU website. Open its Admission menu and choose the service that matches your application.
- Confirm that you are checking the correct intake and programme type.
- Open the university’s Admission Portal or the relevant undergraduate status service.
- Read the session and applicant instructions before entering details.
- Supply the registration number and login information requested by that service.
- Open the admission status result and read the candidate name and programme.
- Save the result and compare it with JAMB CAPS.
The linked portal displays registration or matriculation number and password fields. It also explains that its student login is for registered students and directs prospective applicants to its admission application services. Therefore, a failed student login is not an admission decision.
Do not assume that every DELSU applicant should use the same form. The university has separate routes for regular undergraduate study, Direct Entry, part-time study, postgraduate programmes and other qualifications. An offer in one route does not confirm an offer in another.
If you use one of the older undergraduate checking pages, read the “previous admission” heading carefully. Compare the session in the returned result with your own application. A genuine older offer still does not prove a current offer for a different intake.
Where a page asks for a password, use the account details supplied for that university service. A JAMB password belongs to your JAMB account. If you need a reset or cannot identify the correct route, ask DELSU ICT or admissions staff rather than creating duplicate records.
Confirm the offer on JAMB CAPS
Open the official JAMB eFacility portal and sign in with your JAMB profile email and password.
- Choose Check Admission Status.
- Select the examination year for your application and verify your registration number.
- Open Access my CAPS.
- Select Admission Status.
- Read the institution and course displayed on your record.
- Follow JAMB’s current acceptance instructions for an offer you want to take.
After accepting, return to your record and check that the decision is saved. If the service requires another confirmation action, follow the instruction attached to your account. Do not assume an old SMS instruction still applies.
If a phone shows an incomplete menu, try desktop view and scroll across the page. A display problem is different from a “Not Admitted” result. Our JAMB portal login guide explains account access; select your own year inside JAMB.
Understanding your admission status
Admitted: Your JAMB record shows an offer. Check that the institution is Delta State University and read the exact course before accepting. Save the result for the next registration stage.
Admission in Progress: Processing has not yet produced a final offer in the account. It is not a guaranteed place and does not support a percentage prediction. Continue checking while official processing remains active.
Not Admitted: No offer currently appears. A later offer may become available, but the message does not promise one. Review your application and qualifications so that an incomplete record does not remain unresolved.
Transfer Approval: A different programme may be under consideration. Read its subject requirements and decide whether you want it before responding. Afterwards, return to Admission Status; accepting a proposed transfer and accepting admission are separate actions.
If a university result shows an offer but CAPS does not, keep evidence of both records. Next, check your O’level upload and any transfer request. Then contact DELSU admissions staff with your JAMB number and application evidence.

Merit, later batches and supplementary offers
The DELSU admission list may develop in stages as the university reviews candidates and vacancies. A merit list generally refers to an initial selection, while supplementary offers may cover further candidates or available places.
However, we have not verified an official timetable for another 2026/2027 batch. Do not assume that the university must release exactly three lists or that a second list will appear after a fixed number of weeks.
If a supplementary application or vacancy notice appears, read its conditions separately. A vacancy notice invites an action; it does not automatically grant admission. Check whether it applies to your score, subjects, programme and application route before responding.
Also, verify the source and session of any forwarded list. DELSU has several admission services, so a postgraduate, affiliate or part-time list should not be presented as a regular UTME list. The programme type matters as much as the institution name.
For other universities, use our admission list updates. Compare confirmed offers and deadlines before rejecting one opportunity while waiting for another.
Checks to make if your name is missing
First, confirm that you completed and submitted the university screening application. Review the acknowledgment slip and the JAMB number used. A payment receipt alone may not show that you finished the application.
Next, check that the institution and programme in JAMB match the route under consideration. If you changed institution or course, confirm the updated record rather than assuming that a payment for the change completed every stage.
Then, review your O’level results on CAPS. Uploading results to the school form does not automatically place them in JAMB. Use an accredited JAMB centre to resolve a missing upload and verify the record afterwards.
Also, compare your subjects and credits with the requirements for your intended course. A university’s general application threshold does not guarantee selection into every department. Available places and programme requirements can affect the result.
Direct Entry applicants should use the relevant admission route and check their qualification verification. Do not interpret a result from a UTME-only service as the complete history of a Direct Entry application.
Finally, review Transfer Approval and any message asking you to take an action. If your records are complete, continue checking official updates without assuming a later offer. Nobody can guarantee your name in the next DELSU batch.
What follows a DELSU offer?
Verify the institution and course, then complete JAMB acceptance. Print the JAMB admission letter when the accepted offer becomes available for printing. Save the university offer result too.
Next, follow the current university instructions for acceptance payment, clearance and student account access. This update does not confirm a current acceptance fee amount or deadline. Use the official invoice for your session instead of a fee copied from an old article.
Prepare the original documents and photocopies requested for clearance. Keep admission letters, qualification evidence, screening slips and receipts together. Raise any mismatch in names or course details before continuing to course registration.
Finally, confirm your programme’s campus and the approved resumption notice before arranging travel or accommodation. Clearance, tuition payment and course registration are separate tasks. Follow the university’s order and keep evidence of each completed stage.
Frequently asked questions
Does an admission report mean that I am admitted?
No. It tells you to check your record. Your own registration number must produce an offer, and you should confirm the institution and course on CAPS.
Can I use the previous admission checker for 2026/2027?
Read the session on the result carefully. A checker labelled for previous admission should not be treated as a current offer without matching session information or university confirmation.
Why does the student portal reject my login?
The linked portal distinguishes registered students from prospective applicants. You may need a different application service, a valid student record or university ICT help. A failed login alone is not a rejection.
Is there a separate Direct Entry route?
The official university Admission menu includes a Direct Entry checking service. Use the route relevant to your application and compare it with your JAMB record.
When will the next DELSU list come out?
We have not verified a current official release date for another 2026/2027 batch. Follow the university’s current notices and your CAPS record.
