The YABATECH admission list for 2026/2027 must be checked for your programme and study mode. ND full-time applicants should check JAMB CAPS as well as the relevant college result. HND applicants should use YABATECH’s application and admission services rather than treating a fresh UTME CAPS result as their HND admission decision.
Last updated: 9 October 2026. YABATECH has current ND admission notices and a college admission-status checker that accepts an application or registration number. A single current PDF covering every ND, HND, full-time and part-time batch is not confirmed by this update. Check the session on each notice before treating it as a release announcement.
Choose the correct YABATECH admission route
National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND) and B.Sc. Education are different programmes. Full-time, part-time and CODFEL application routes are also listed separately on the college’s application portal. A result for one route does not establish an offer through another.
| Your application | Main record to check |
|---|---|
| ND full-time through UTME | Your JAMB CAPS result and relevant college instructions |
| HND full-time | The college application and admission record for that route |
| ND or HND part-time | The college service matching your application and mode |
| B.Sc. Education | The relevant degree/Direct Entry record and college instructions |
YABATECH’s current screening notice distinguishes ND from its B.Sc. Education programmes affiliated with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Therefore, a degree offer should not be described as an ND offer simply because both applications involve the college.
Before searching any list, write down your programme, study mode and application number. These details help you choose the correct service and explain a problem if admissions staff need to locate your record.
How to use the YABATECH admission-status checker
Open the official YABATECH admission-status checker. The form asks for your registration or application number to check provisional admission.
- Enter the number linked to your college application, without extra spaces.
- Use the checking control and allow the result to load.
- Compare the name, programme, study mode and session shown, where supplied.
- Read any provisional-offer instructions attached to the result.
- Sign in to your application dashboard when the college directs you there.
- Save the offer and relevant instructions for your own records.
The application portal also provides an application-number retrieval service. Use that route when you have misplaced your number; do not guess another applicant’s number or make a duplicate application merely to search for an existing result.
A payment invoice and an O’level verification slip are separate documents. They may help show what stages you completed, but neither alone proves that a place has been offered. Check the actual admission record.
ND full-time: checking the YABATECH admission list on CAPS
Use the official JAMB eFacility portal for the JAMB record linked to your ND full-time application. Sign in with your registered email address and password.
- Open Check Admission Status.
- Select your examination year and enter your JAMB registration number where requested.
- Choose Access my CAPS.
- Open Admission Status from the CAPS menu.
- Check the institution, programme and status displayed.
- Follow JAMB’s current response instructions if an offer is available.
On a phone, desktop mode may help reveal the side menu. A welcome screen is not an admission result. Our JAMB portal login guide explains the account-access steps; select your own examination year regardless of the older year in its address.
If another programme is proposed under Transfer Approval, read it before responding. Afterwards, return to Admission Status to check for a final offer. A transfer response and acceptance of the final admission are separate actions.
HND applicants: use the college application record
HND applicants should check the YABATECH service attached to their HND application. An HND offer is not determined by whether a fresh UTME account displays an ND offer. Likewise, a result for ND part-time cannot answer an HND full-time application question.
Confirm the correct application number and whether the college received the required submission. Keep evidence of your ND qualification, relevant credentials and any transcript or industrial-training documentation requested for the HND route. Follow the current requirements for your programme rather than a checklist from an unrelated intake.
Also check the status of any required O’level verification. YABATECH provides a verification-slip service on its application portal. A submitted application and a completed verification stage are not necessarily the same thing.
The college published an HND full-time application closure notice for February 2026. That dated application notice is not a 2026/2027 admission-list announcement. Do not reuse its deadline as the acceptance deadline for a different offer.
What current ND screening information tells you
YABATECH’s 2026/2027 screening notice required first-choice status and a minimum UTME score of 160 for the stated ND full-time and B.Sc. Education 100-level routes. Candidates also had to be at least 16 years old by 30 September 2026, with consistent names, photographs and academic records.
Those are application conditions, not a guarantee that every eligible candidate receives admission. Meeting a general screening threshold does not establish a departmental selection result or a personal offer.
The college later published a closure notice for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME form. Do not read an older “form is open” headline as proof that a fresh application is still available in October. Follow any new college announcement for an additional exercise.
The screening payment is also separate from acceptance or tuition. This admission-list guide does not confirm a current acceptance-fee amount or school-fees schedule. Use the official invoice and instructions for your actual offer.
Merit, supplementary lists and the older PDF
Use the programme, study mode and academic session stated in a current YABATECH notice. An ND supplementary list does not establish the release of an HND list, and a part-time list is not evidence about full-time admission.
Older college news pages may display current headlines in their sidebars. Read the date and session of the main announcement rather than assuming every search result mentioning 2026/2027 is a new list.
An older YABATECH admission-list PDF reference comes from the earlier version of this guide. Its current availability and academic-session contents have not been confirmed, so it is not evidence of a 2026/2027 offer. Use the present college checker and relevant current notice for your admission decision.
No fixed second-, third- or final-batch release date is established here for every route. Our admission list updates cover other institutions, but compare actual offers and deadlines rather than assuming another batch must include you.
Why your YABATECH result may still be pending
First, check that you used the correct number and service. A JAMB number, college application number and student matriculation number can serve different purposes. Follow the identifier requested by the form you are using.
Next, confirm that the application was fully submitted and the required qualifications verified. Review the programme requirements and any outstanding documents. Paying an application charge without finishing the submission does not create an admission offer.
ND full-time candidates should also confirm their institution choice, relevant subjects and O’level upload to JAMB. Where a college offer and CAPS disagree, check any proposed transfer and ask the college about the recommendation or record needing attention.
Admission in Progress on CAPS is a pending stage, not a guaranteed place or a 90 percent admission probability. Not Admitted means no current offer appears on that record; it does not explain every possible cause.
If you need a wider explanation, the school admission status guide covers the difference between an application, a provisional offer and completed admission. HND applicants should still resolve their college-side application issue through the HND service.
What to do after a YABATECH offer
For the relevant ND/JAMB route, complete the required CAPS response and confirm it is recorded. For an HND or other college route, follow the acceptance instruction attached to that specific offer. Do not substitute one route’s procedure for another.
Then obtain the admission documents requested by the college and prepare for credential checks. Keep originals and copies of the required results and supporting documents. Check names and other identifying details before clearance.
Use the approved payment instructions and confirm the charge description, amount and deadline on your current invoice. A receipt from an old application is not proof that a new acceptance or tuition payment has been completed.
Finally, complete clearance, fees and course registration in the sequence specified for your programme. Read the actual resumption notice before arranging travel. Check accommodation separately, since an admission offer does not automatically reserve a hostel place.
Frequently asked questions
Is there one YABATECH admission list for ND and HND?
Do not assume so. The college operates separate programme and study-mode routes. Read the session and route on each list or check your own application record.
Should HND applicants use fresh UTME CAPS to check an HND offer?
Use the college’s HND application and admission record. A fresh UTME CAPS result concerns its relevant JAMB admission route and is not a substitute for the HND decision.
Can I check without knowing my college application number?
The college checker requests a registration or application number. Use the application-number retrieval service linked from the official application portal if yours is missing.
Is the old PDF a confirmed 2026/2027 list?
No. It is a historical link from the earlier article and is not verified as a current list. Its availability is also uncertain; check the current college service instead.
Does meeting the ND screening score guarantee admission?
No. It meets a stated application condition. Selection still depends on the programme requirements and the actual admission process, so check the offer rather than inferring admission from eligibility.
Your next step
Choose your YABATECH admission route first, then check the matching college record and CAPS where applicable. Follow the instructions attached to your own offer rather than a PDF or deadline from another intake.
