FUDMA Admission List 2026/2027: Merit List and How to Check

The FUDMA admission list for 2026/2027 is out as a merit list, according to the university’s official applicant portal. Candidates should check their own JAMB CAPS record, review the offered course and complete the required acceptance steps. The university portal currently displays a maintenance notice, so university-account access may be temporarily unavailable.

This guide covers undergraduate admission to the Federal University Dutsin-Ma. It explains the current checking routes, changes from the old JAMB-number-only portal, pending admission messages, and what to prepare after receiving an offer.

FUDMA Admission List 2026/2027: What Has Been Confirmed?

The university’s applicant portal displays a current merit-list release notice. It directs admitted candidates to accept on CAPS, keep O’Level results on both JAMB and university records, and complete the required registration stages.

That announcement concerns the merit list. It does not, by itself, confirm that every second or third batch, Direct Entry decision or separate programme list is available. Check the category and session named in the information you are using.

How to Check the FUDMA Admission List on JAMB CAPS

Use your JAMB account for the relevant application. Have its registered email address, password and UTME or Direct Entry registration number ready.

  1. Visit the official JAMB e-Facility portal and sign in.
  2. Open the admission-status service on your dashboard.
  3. Select the correct examination year and supply your registration number if prompted.
  4. Open CAPS and review Admission Status.
  5. Confirm the institution, course and decision shown in your record.

Our JAMB portal login guide explains the account route. If you cannot see the controls on a phone, try desktop view or a computer. Keep your password private and use the profile linked to your own application.

A university maintenance message does not establish that your CAPS account is unavailable. Check the separate JAMB service and retain the offer details. If CAPS also has a technical problem, note the error rather than interpreting it as an admission decision.

Checking Your FUDMA University Account

The old admission-page address redirects to the current FUDMA applicant portal. Its login fields request Login ID/Email and Password. A Forgot Password option is available; the old instruction to enter only a JAMB number and select Check Admission does not match this public page.

The portal currently shows scheduled maintenance. Wait for access to resume before reviewing private application information. Do not submit a second application or make another payment simply because the login service is temporarily unavailable.

When access resumes, use your existing application account and read the instructions attached to your record. Check your institution, course and session before acting. If you cannot recover access, use the university’s published support route rather than sharing your password with strangers.

Our school admission-status guide explains how to compare a university record with CAPS. A forwarded name list is not a substitute for checking your own offer details.

FUDMA Eligibility and Records to Review

The university’s 2026/2027 screening notice required FUDMA as first choice. It published different UTME minima: 180 for designated programmes including Nursing and Law, 160 for programmes including Accounting and Economics, and 150 for specified others including Computer Science. These are screening minima, not a guarantee of selection.

For Direct Entry, the notice includes Lower Credit for National Diploma or National Innovative Diploma and nine points for NCE. Its IJMB requirements distinguish College of Health Sciences courses from other courses. Match your qualification to the relevant programme rather than applying one rule to every department.

The published screening window ran from 1 June to 31 July 2026. An old application invitation must not be treated as a new registration opening. Follow any later official notice that applies to your situation.

Check that the results in your records match your genuine documents. A good overall score cannot replace a compulsory subject or an entry qualification. Keep copies of your submitted details so that you can identify a mismatch if one appears.

FUDMA Merit, First and Subsequent Admission Batches

Merit describes a selection category; first batch describes release order. The terms may overlap, but the university’s actual announcement should determine how a list is described.

The current merit notice should not be expanded into an unsupported claim that all numbered batches are out. Older January dates and 2023/2024 announcements concern different exercises. Check each notice’s year before relying on it.

If you are absent from the merit selection, continue checking relevant official updates while admission processing remains active. That does not promise another list or guarantee an offer. Applicants can have different decisions because their courses, qualifications and selection circumstances differ.

What Your FUDMA Admission Status Means

Admitted

An admitted status indicates an offer for the institution and course shown. Read the programme name carefully, especially if it differs from your original preference. Follow the current acceptance instructions after reviewing the conditions.

The offer is provisional and does not remove the need to complete document checks and registration. Keep the relevant admission and acceptance records.

Admission in Progress

Your admission is still being processed. This can be encouraging, but it is not a final offer and does not provide a reliable numerical admission probability.

Keep checking your own record and respond to a genuine outstanding requirement. Wait for a definite decision before making commitments that depend on confirmed admission.

Not Admitted

No offer is currently displayed in the account you checked. If processing continues, that message alone does not establish every later outcome. It also does not promise that your result will change.

Confirm your year and registration details, then review any application issue. A temporary portal outage is a separate problem and should not be described as rejection.

Why Your Name May Be Missing from the FUDMA Admission List

Review the circumstances attached to your own application. A missing merit-list entry can reflect an eligibility issue, the scope of the selection, continued consideration or the absence of an offer.

  • Check the correct session and application route.
  • Review whether your screening and supporting document submission were complete.
  • Check the qualifications and subject requirements for your programme.
  • Review your result records and any proposed transfer.
  • Remember that competition and available places also affect selection.

JAMB’s guidance identifies result upload, institutional recommendation and transfer approval as useful checks when an offer has not reflected. Review the relevant item instead of assuming that CAPS makes random admission decisions.

A friend’s admission or a score above a general minimum cannot establish your own result. Keep any enquiry specific to the record and issue you need help resolving.

What to Do After Receiving FUDMA Admission

Review the offered course and use JAMB’s current acceptance method. Keep its confirmation, then follow the university instructions for your own session. A university payment receipt and JAMB acceptance record serve different purposes.

Prepare your academic results and the documents requested for your entry route. Direct Entry applicants should keep their relevant advanced qualification records available. Use the university’s checklist to determine the actual documents and copies required.

  1. Obtain the relevant admission documents after completing the applicable acceptance steps.
  2. Review the university’s clearance and registration instructions.
  3. Generate any required payment invoice through the authorised university service.
  4. Retain the receipt and complete the associated verification stage.
  5. Complete student and course registration when eligible.
  6. Check accommodation and confirmed resumption information separately.

Verify the amount and purpose of each charge before paying. Screening payments, acceptance charges, school fees and accommodation costs should not be treated as one interchangeable fee.

If maintenance affects a required university step, retain the notice and follow the university’s updates. Do not assume that an old deadline applies or that a new extension has been granted. Ask the proper support office how to address a deadline affecting your own offer.

FUDMA Admission List FAQs

Is the 2026/2027 Merit List Out?

Yes. The university’s official applicant portal displays a release notice for that session’s merit list. Check your individual decision and programme.

Can Direct Entry Applicants Check CAPS?

Yes. Use the JAMB account linked to your Direct Entry application. The current merit notice does not automatically confirm that every entry-route decision has been completed.

Does Portal Maintenance Mean My Admission Has Been Cancelled?

No. Maintenance concerns service availability. It does not, by itself, change the admission decision in your record.

Do I Need a PDF Before Accepting?

No. Check the individual offer in CAPS and follow its current acceptance instructions. A public PDF is not the only way an admission decision can be communicated.

Does a Screening Acknowledgement Confirm Admission?

No. It records an application stage. An actual admission offer is a separate outcome and remains subject to its conditions.

Conclusion

FUDMA has announced its 2026/2027 merit list. Check your own CAPS offer, confirm the course, and follow the university’s acceptance and registration instructions as its services become available.
